YULIYA ROYSENTAL
As a former SCA swimmer turned coach, Yulia began her synchro journey in 1994 and now shares her knowledge with athletes wishing to develop in the sport. She has won numerous competitions, from California State Games to Age Group Nationals and U.S. Open, winning her first Age Group Nationals in 2003 in the 14-15 age group and the recipient of the Jerry Smith Sportsmanship. The following year she became a Triple Crown and Grand Slam winner in the 16-17 Age Group Nationals.
From Olympians to internationally ranked athletes, Yuliya was coached by the best and now shares her knowledge in her own practices and coaching. She has coached for Los Gatos Angelfish, San Francisco Merionettes, Walnut Creek Aquanuts, National Camp athletes as well as National Team members including athletes from Kazakhstan, Denmark and a mixed duet from Ecuador. Yuliya is also an "Artistic Swimming for Athletes with Disabilities" advocate receiving the 2016 Presidential Award Silver Medal for her volunteer services and hopes to see Artistic Swimming in the 2028 Paralympic Games.
She has a genuine love for kids and loves to share her passion for the sport. Yuliya graduated Cum Laude from San Jose State University in Child and Adolescent Development in 2022 and currently coaches with the youth program, along with the juniors and will be taking a mixed duet to World Championships in Singapore this July.
